Welcome at the vocational school in Langenlois!

Our school is situated in the northern part of Lower Austria, the so-called "Waldviertel" (forest quarter).

The small town Langenlois is well-known to be the largest town of vineproducers in Austria.

In our school we instruct about 360 apprentices per course. Our students are trained in building as well as bricklaying, roofing and technical drawing.

That means the apprentices pass 80 percent of their apprenticeship in the training company and 20 percent in the vocational school. School should strengthen and complete their practical experience, this follows the Austrian education system, the dual training.

At the end of their apprenticeship the apprentices pass a final examination, which is held by the chamber of economy, section building, in our school.

Our school is fitted out very modern. There are training rooms at a workshop and at building sites and a lot of classrooms and a multi media hall. Computer-supported lessons are held in a computer room, for the physical training we have a gymnasium. Nearly all of our students are accommodated in the enclosed boarding school.

The school is managed by Mr. Herbert Zant and his assistant  Mr. Kurt Teufel.

The teachers staff consist of 11  teachers for practical education, 11 teachers for technical subjects and 9 teachers for the general and business education.

Mr. Herbert Zant  runs the boarding school.

We would be pleased to find partner-schools in an English or German speaking country for exchange of experience.
